Google Calendar data use
Google Calendar
Data Policy.
This Google Calendar Data Policy explains how Flyby Ahead, a macOS application published by AMYOT LABS, accesses, uses, stores, protects, and deletes information obtained through Google Calendar. By connecting a Google account to Flyby Ahead, you authorize the application to use the read-only Google Calendar permission identified as https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly. This permission allows Flyby Ahead to read calendar information; it does not allow the application to create, modify, respond to, or delete events.
Flyby Ahead reads only the calendar and event information required to provide its reminder features. This information may include calendar identifiers and names, event identifiers, titles, start and end times, time zones, recurrence information, event status, invitation response status, and event or approved HTTPS meeting links. Flyby Ahead uses this information to display available calendars, identify eligible timed events, exclude all-day, cancelled, and explicitly declined events, schedule reminders, show upcoming or ongoing events, prevent duplicate reminders, and open an event or approved link when you choose to do so.
Calendar processing takes place on your Mac. Google authorization tokens are stored in macOS Keychain. Flyby Ahead may retain a bounded, encrypted local snapshot of upcoming event information, synchronization state, selected calendars, reminder history, and limited diagnostic information when needed to provide reliable reminders, recover from short network interruptions, and prevent duplicate notifications. Old local records are periodically removed when they are no longer required for these purposes.
AMYOT LABS does not receive or maintain a copy of your Google Calendar events, does not operate a Flyby Ahead cloud account, and does not use Google user data for advertising, behavioral analytics, credit decisions, surveillance, or the creation of user profiles. Google Calendar data is not sold, rented, disclosed for marketing purposes, or transferred to third parties except where required by law. Flyby Ahead does not combine Google Calendar data with data from unrelated services for advertising or profiling.
You may disconnect a Google account at any time from within Flyby Ahead. When an internet connection is available, the application attempts to revoke its Google authorization and removes the account's local credentials and calendar selections. You may also revoke access directly from the third-party access controls in your Google Account. Revocation prevents Flyby Ahead from making future Calendar API requests using that authorization.
To delete Flyby Ahead data stored on your Mac, use the application's Reset App control. Reset App removes connected accounts, authorization tokens, local event snapshots, calendar selections, settings, reminder history, and bounded diagnostics associated with Flyby Ahead on that Mac. Removing the application without first disconnecting or resetting it may leave items protected by macOS Keychain or application storage; use the in-app controls when you want those records removed.
Flyby Ahead applies reasonable technical safeguards appropriate to a local macOS application, including macOS Keychain for authorization credentials, encrypted local storage for retained event information, and least-privilege access through a read-only Google Calendar scope. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but the application is designed to minimize the information retained and the systems that can access it.
This policy may be updated when Flyby Ahead's data practices or legal obligations change. Material changes will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Questions about Google Calendar data, access, revocation, or deletion may be sent to hello@amyotlabs.com. Do not send passwords, authorization tokens, private calendar content, or unredacted diagnostics by email. Additional information is available in the complete Privacy Policy and on the Support page.
